With more than 83 years in business, Minder Meats of Bremerton is still dedicated to providing residents of Kitsap County with the best local products available. Specializing in fresh beef, pork, and chicken, Minder Meats produces ground beef, portion-control steaks, and sausage nearly all of which is harvested from the Northwest Region.

As the main meat and seafood supplier of countless local restaurants and the operator of a retail outlet in the heart of Bremerton, Minder Meats continues to evolve with the addition of a Home Delivery Program. According to Joshua Hancock, Operations Manager at Minder Meats, “We felt the retail market for meats was underserved, especially in outlying communities and the central Kitsap area.” Implementing a delivery program was a way to solve that deficiency throughout the county.

Planning to deliver in quick-time, Hancock described what that means through a timeframe scenario. If an order is received by noon, the recipient should expect the delivery by 4 pm that day. An order received by 8 pm should expect to see their delivery at their door by noon the next day. The program to be called Minder 2U hopes to begin their van delivery service in late spring utilizing a newly-purchased van. The delivery program will be available to all orders over $150.

Evolution is a cornerstone of the Minder Meats business philosophy as demonstrated by their next project, a seafood processing plant. “The plant will source tribally-caught seafood, salmon, halibut, crab and shrimp in season, and bring it to market through the Minder Meats & Seafood channels,” said Hancock.

Hancock, who grew up on a cattle ranch and worked in the culinary business for more than 20 years, was recently a chef at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe Casino, the owners of Minder Meats. He and the staff at Minder Meats genuinely care about their customers and look forward to introducing new customers to their proteins that are free of both hormones and antibiotics.
